Thanks for your support!
We are closing the bakery on Aug. 1st BUT Sweet Encounter will expand in new and exciting ways.
Dear Sweet Encounter Family,
I’m writing to share some news that comes with a full heart. On Saturday, Aug. 2nd, we will be closing our physical storefront. I know this may be difficult for some of you who have made Sweet Encounter part of your weekly rituals, celebrations, and everyday moments. Your support has meant the world to us, and I am deeply grateful for every encounter we’ve shared.
While this marks the end of one chapter, it also opens the door to a new and exciting season of growth. Our vision for 2025 is to bring Sweet Encounter into more homes—and hearts—than ever before:
Expanding our e-commerce store, so you can get your favorite treats shipped nationwide
Growing our corporate gifting program, featuring our signature Cupcakes in a Jar
In the next 6 monts, introducing our new line of gluten-free baking mixes—cakes, brownies, biscuits, cookies, and more—to help you create a Sweet Encounter right in your own kitchen
Sharing recipes, inspiration, and encouragement on YouTube, where I’ll be posting not only delicious gluten-free recipes but also uplifting content for your mind and soul. You can subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/
In the next 6–12 months, you’ll see our first baking mixes launch, making it easier than ever to bake safe, delicious desserts for your loved ones. I’m also working on a cookbook that will feature some of your favorite recipes from our bakery.
I want to share the ‘why’ behind this decision. In 2023, my health hit rock bottom. I was working too much, giving everything I had to the business, and not taking care of myself. I became so sick I nearly lost my life and needed a blood transfusion to recover. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to build a life I love and a business that supports that life, instead of the other way around.
This next season will allow me to be more present with my family and to continue bringing you products created with love, without sacrificing my health or joy.
If you take anything away from this, I hope it’s this: it is never too late to change course. Some may feel disappointed or think you’re giving up, but only you know what’s right for your life. Hold on to your truth, follow what gives you joy, and take the next best step for yourself.
Thank you for believing in me and Sweet Encounter. This is not goodbye—it’s simply a new beginning. I can’t wait to share what’s next.
With gratitude and hope,
Nikki Thompson Frazier
