This park is great for family activity, and has nearly 19 miles of hiking trails. The inn, modern cabins and restaurant provide excellent amenities to visitors, and the nearby lakes provide great opportunity for boating, swimming, and fishing. Celebrate America's 250th Birthday at Montgomery Bell State Park!

Join us on July 4th for a day of family fun at Lake Acorn. Enjoy free ranger-led programs, hands-on activities, colonial-era games, swimming, and opportunities, to learn about Tennessee's wildlife, history, and natural resources.

- Look for an adventure on the water? Guided kayak and canoe floats will be offered at 10 AM and 6 PM for $10 per participant.
- The Lodge will also have hot dog meals and other holiday favorites available for purchase.
- Ranger-led programs will take place hourly from 12 PM - 4 PM at locations around the Swim Beach and Lake Acorn Pavilion.
- Swimming will be available throughout the day from 9 AM to 6 PM.
