How long a member? 3 or 4 years? It’s lost in the blur of years. I donated my car to Good News Garage and hopped on CarShare Vt.

How I share? Every Saturday, 8-9 am, without fail over 40 years, we share a take-away meal with our food-insecure neighbors at the First Congregational Church, So. Winooski at the top of Cherry St. All welcome. Throughout the week, I pick up supplies from various donors. Fabio helped me drop them off early, early this morning in time for the eggs to be prepared to make egg-salad sandwiches. 5-dozen raw eggs are heavy to carry, though typically I make the delivery on foot. However, I was running late. Thank you, Fabio; thank you CarShare Vt.

My name is Lauren and I am a 30-something lady who loves to get outside, devours books and loves to go out with friends for a great meal. I joined Carshare two years ago when I made the decision to go car-free and I haven’t looked back! Carshare makes it possible for me to navigate Burlington and Winooski car free!

You will mostly see me driving Sydney, who I pack up with grocery and laundry on errand day! I also love to hop into Sydney for a visit to our local state parks (Niquette Bay is a favorite) for walking, hiking and dip in the lake. And, of course, no state park visit is complete without a stop for a creemee on the way home.

I've been a CarShare member for about a year this time around. As a family who prefers to walk/bike/bus whenever possible, CarShare makes so much sense. We don't have to pay for the purchase, upkeep, and insurance of a car we barely use, yet we have access to cars (and trucks!) for when we need to run errands, get to appointments, or just get out of town.
