Kermit the Frog debuted on television today in May 9, 1955… and yes, I still get emotional over the Muppets! 🐸💚🐷💝

Back in December, I made a point to go say goodbye to the clock tower on Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios because I just knew it wouldn’t feel real until I saw it one last time for myself—and truthfully? I’m still salty about it. 😭😠

There’s just something so special about the Muppets. They’re chaotic, heartfelt, nostalgic, weird in the best possible way, and somehow always full of hope. 🥹 Kermit especially has always felt like the emotional glue holding everything and everyone together while quietly spiraling in the background—which honestly feels very relatable as an adult. 🤪

Also… do you recognize the carpet in one of the photos?? 🥹 I cannot tell you how much it meant to me that Disney preserved part of the iconic Muppet*Vision carpet and incorporated it into Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind. It feels like such a thoughtful little love letter to longtime Muppets fans. 🥰 It was lovely to see it at Christmastime. 🚂🎁✨

This started as a one-time thing… 🤖✨

We’ve built three droids across three different trips—and somehow, every single time feels just as fun as the first. 🥹

Our lineup so far:
• BB unit
• R unit
• C-series

And if you ask Julian… we’re apparently adding a new one every visit now… 😂 not sure I agreed to that. 😬🤭

What I didn’t expect? 👇🏼
It’s not just a “build it and take it home” kind of thing.

These little guys actually interact. 😱

They connect via Bluetooth and ‘talk’ to each other—reacting to everything around them, from other droids in Batuu to our own living room (yes, really).

It’s one of those experiences that feels like a quick activity going in…
and somehow turns into one of those core memories. ☺️

Also—this is not just for kids.
Adults fully get into this too (I was this close 🤏🏼 to walking out with a BD-1 because he dances and I have zero self-control apparently). 🤣

If you’ve ever thought “eh, we’re not big Star Wars people…” this is one of those things that still hits! 👍🏼👍🏼

There’s a difference between a Disney trip that looks good on paper…
and one that actually feels magical. ✨

I’ve done the long days.
The overplanning.
The “we have to do everything” kind of trips.

And I learned the hard way—that’s not where the magic lives.

It’s in slower starts.
In not rushing your first park day.
In knowing what matters most (and letting the rest go).
In being prepared… without feeling overwhelmed.

It’s in laughing through the rain.
Taking breaks before you need them.
And actually being present with the people you came with.

That’s what I plan for. 🥰
