What’s holding you back from facing your fear?

A week ago, I recorded this video, my hands shaking as I watched the water cascade over Niagara Falls. I’m a complete scaredy-cat when it comes to heights. I’m terrified of falling, even just standing there and watching the water rush over the edge. I was shaking inside, my arms and hands trembling. I was so afraid to even walk close to the edge, close enough to get a good video for my viewers.

Fear.

Less than 12 hours later, I was in the ER and then rushed to the hospital, where I was admitted for almost a week with a life-threatening virus. In an instant, I could have been gone. It’s terrifying to think that our whole world can change in the blink of an eye.

I got up at 4 AM with the intention of catching the sunrise over the falls. I did not take into account my extreme fear of heights or falling. Needless to say I went with just my best dog Cleo and made the best of it.
