The HO scale “Grand Valley” 4x8 layout for our Wills Creek Hobbies Shop at Founders Crossing Artisan & Vintage Market Place is nearly complete. Just a few more touch ups to the scenery/roads as well as general cleanup of touched up areas and it will be headed to downtown Bedford, Pa for everyone to enjoy during regular Founders Crossing operating hours!

Compared to the current 5x6 HO layout that shows what you can do with limited funds and experience simply by using the trains and track that come with one of our complete starter sets, this larger 4x8 Grand Valley layout shows what the next step can be for your new railroad empire.

This layout is available in our store as a kit from Woodland Scenic’s and can be purchased in three phases (Foam sheets/sculpting materials/scenery, complete track pack & buildings). With easy to follow instructions and with everything you need to complete yourself, you can copy the layout by the book (as seen on box) or make it your own by adding scenery, buildings and alterations to the track plan to suit your individual interests/taste. Rosie and Diamond will be getting sheared along with the rescue sheep at a slightly later date under the guidance of our vet, but all in all everyone did excellent today and ready for summer!❤️🦙

‼️We have some very exciting news in regards to the Ranch Railroad‼️🚂

It is with great excitement we announce the acquisition of a beautifully restored/maintained 12” gauge coal fired Ottaway steam train, including original locomotive, rollingstock and even track! The locomotive was built back in 1947 and at 79 years old, she is still going strong. She even has her original boiler in excellent condition! ❤️🚂

As we prepare for America’s 250th birthday over the course of 2026 as well as the 200th anniversary of America’s first steam railroad in 2027, this Ottaway steam train, alongside our fleet of other historic “park-sized” 12 inch & 10 1/4 inch gauge steam locomotives and rollingstock makes for a fitting tribute as we all celebrate our history together!🇺🇸🚂

‼️Our steam trains will be making their first public appearance during an off-site event at Hyndman Heritage Days on June 13th with ALL ticket proceeds going to the newly formed Hyndman-Londonderry Museum! Currently the Ottaway is scheduled to make her public debut with us at Heritage Days, however, this is subject to change and she may be substituted with one of our other coal burning steam locomotives for the event.‼️
