Dear Friends, Family, and our wonderful Customers,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of closing The Buda Biscuit & Baking Co. at the end of August.
This business was a dream of mine since I was a child, from serving my family out of my playhouse in our yard, to going to Le Cordon Bleu fresh out of high school. Bringing it to life has been an incredible journey. However, as life evolves, so do dreams and my most prevailing dream is the happiness, health and wellbeing of my beautiful family. The current economy and the increasing need to focus on family, especially our two amazing children, have made it clear that continuing this venture is no longer sustainable.
This decision wasn’t easy, but I am filled with gratitude for the love, support, and community we’ve built together. I am honored to have provided meals not just for Sunday brunches and weekday commuters, but for holidays, birthdays and graduations of kids we’ve gotten to watch grow over the years, weddings and showers of customers turned friends, and comfort food in times of sadness and grief. Great food and warm hearts can bring people together. Serving you has been an absolute joy, and I will always cherish the memories, connections, and smiles we’ve shared over the years.
While this chapter is ending, I’m optimistic about the future and excited to embrace the new opportunities and adventures that await. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your support has meant the world to me.
Wishing you all the best, and for those who have become regulars and friends, please don’t hesitate to keep in touch and find me on socials. And please continue to support our local, small businesses… it is really hard out there right now. Our last day in operation will be Sunday, 8/25. Please come join us for breakfast before then!
With all my love and gratitude,
Julia Borregales
Owner/Operator of Buda Biscuit & Baking Co.
