🚛 FOCUS ON THE FAMILY: Kevin Topscher 🚛

Meet Kevin Topscher, one of the steady hands behind the wheel at Duncan & Son Lines! Kevin is originally from Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, and has been driving for 22 years — the last 10¾ years of them with our team, running his Freightliner.

Before trucking, Kevin spent years in the classroom as a K-12 music teacher. Ask him why he made the switch and he'll tell you straight: "My kids started eating and didn't want to stop." 😄

On the road, Kevin's a night owl who even skips the coffee and energy drinks altogether! One of his favorite runs takes him out to Austin, TX. He's hauled just about everything over the years - including, memorably, regulated medical waste (including body parts) and says the most beautiful stretch he's ever driven was through Colorado Springs.

What keeps him going on the tough days? Family. He's got a wife, kids, and a grandson waiting for him at home, and his time off is spent right there with them. His advice for a rookie driver: "Don't rush, take your time."

Meet Timothy Perreault, a Duncan & Son Lines driver with 34 years behind the wheel, 5.5 of them with us!
Timothy's originally from Red Lake Falls, MN, and runs dedicated PHX/LB in his Kenworth 680. Fueled by coffee and the Adam Carolla Show, he says the best part of the job is "The equipment, the drivers, the routes, and the pay." Outside the cab, he's into restoring old cars. He says the reason he decided to become a truck driver is that the fact that driving trucks pays more than working on them.
When it comes to safety, Timothy doesn't mince words and says that safety means “Everything” when he is on the road. And his advice for new drivers? "You have to like driving, manage your time, and have patience."

We are 83 years young and still growing! We now have 240 trucks and are getting ready to add 50 more! We are looking for drivers that want to:

• be within 375 miles from home at all times
• have a 34 hour restart AT home every weekend
• go home up to 2 times during the week (that's 3X home)
• have paid sick time
• to have earn as you go vacation time (no waiting for your anniversary date)
• to be able to make their dr appts and family events without being at the mercy of a dispatcher
• get as much weekly mileage as most OTR drivers
