🥞✈️ ICYMI: The JAA Fly-In returned to RMMA on Saturday, bringing together more than 20 aircraft and aviation enthusiasts for a beautiful morning at the airport.

Airport Director Erick Dahl took on pancake duty as the event’s unofficial “griddle master,” helping serve breakfast while visitors enjoyed aircraft displays and great company.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. It was a great morning celebrating aviation, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

Behind every safe runway is a lot of hard work!

From June 15–30, Runway 12L/30R will be closed for asphalt rehabilitation work at the Taxiway A connector and runway marking improvements. These upgrades are part of RMMA’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable airfield for all users.

It all starts with a conversation.
Thank you to those who joined us at for this Grounded Conversation. We had meaningful discussions about flight paths, noise abatement, and airport initiatives and heard from neighbors and pilots, creating space for open, honest dialogue.

RMMA committed to seeking additional information from the FAA regarding the June 2025 flight path changes. We have now received the FAA’s written response and are sharing both the complete letter and a summary of the agency’s findings with our community.

To summarize, the FAA states the following:
• The changes were made for safety reasons.
• Safety metrics improved after implementation.
• The FAA is satisfied with RMMA’s actions.
• The FAA is not currently aware of additional measures either the airport or FAA can take to address community concerns.

Jefferson County/Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA)  is soliciting proposals for the Southwest Development Area. It’s an opportunity focused on the development of approximately 90 acres of existing airport property through aeronautical ground leases. Aligned with the Airport Master Plan and RMMA’s long-term vision, the project supports economic development across Jefferson County and the region while prioritizing compatible aviation uses, sustainable development practices, and responsible use of airport property.

This role helps maintain and repair the specialized equipment that keeps RMMA operating safely year-round — including snow removal equipment, loaders, fleet vehicles, and critical airfield support equipment.
We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Knows heavy equipment and fleet maintenance
✔️ Can troubleshoot and solve problems independently
✔️ Takes pride in their work
✔️ Can help lead and support daily operations
