If you haven't been out on the South side of town...we have some exciting building going on. DellsXpress is getting their own home. It has been in the works for years. Working with the federal government has its benefits, but it took us a while to jump through all the hoops!! Hopefully by October we will be in our new building.

If you see us do this in the Dell Rapids area...which being in a small town makes it easier to avoid; just know that we are probably dropping off youth passengers on the wrong side of the road where it would take driving around a few blocks to get on the right side. We are not trying to hold anyone up, we just care about the safety of our riders. We don't try to make practice of it, but it does occur in sometimes.

We just don't have the luxury of Stop Arms like the Yellow School Bus, but we still transport the same precious cargo.

Did you know that DellsXpress is a Medicaid provider. If you are a Medicaid recipient, you may be eligible for Medicaid provided transportation to/from your medical appointments. Medicaid reimbursement plays an important role for providing local match for transit providers.

We just received notice from the FTA that is encouraging those with Medicaid to watch for time-sensitive renewal notifications. Early data shows a large number of people are unaware of the change in policies that once prevented states from terminating coverage, even if recipient was no longer qualified.

We are joining forces to encourage and help get the word out to people enrolled in Medicaid that they may be required to take action to remain covered. One of the key messages we want to remind Medicaid enrolled clients is to update contact information with state Medicaid agencies, and promptly respond to the Medicaid renewal form when it comes in the mail.
