Women have always had a significant impact on the development of the transportation sector, from developing and building new vehicles to operating buses and trucks throughout history. Women have persevered in their pursuit of jobs in transportation despite experiencing many obstacles and hardships, opening the door for subsequent generations of women to follow in their footsteps. Listed below are some of the amazing women in history that paved the way for the future of transportation.

Mary Walton, a 19th-century inventor who patented a device for reducing noise and vibration from elevated trains, a notable figure in women's transportation history. Walton's invention was revolutionary because it made train travel much more comfortable for passengers and paved the way for future innovations in the field of transportation engineering.

Lillie Elizabeth Drennan was another woman who had a significant impact on the transportation industry. Drennan became the first female licensed truck driver in the United States in 1928, and she later founded her own trucking company. Drennan also fought for better truck driver working conditions and pay, paving the way for future generations of female drivers.

As we commemorate Women's History Month, it is important to recognize the significant contributions made by women to the transportation industry throughout history. We can create a more diverse and inclusive transportation industry that benefits everyone if we continue to support and empower women in the industry.

James Air Cargo is proud to be a family-owned pickup & delivery provider servicing Northeast Ohio for more than 30 years. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Customer Service/Data Entry representative to join our team here at James Air Cargo Inc. This a full-time position located in Brook Park, OH; hours are Monday-Friday 12PM-8PM. This position will entail scheduling residential deliveries, entering freight bills and attending to phones. Benefits available upon hire. Logistics experience a plus, but willing to train the right candidate. Some key qualities that the ideal candidate will possess:

-Reliable
-Resolve problems as they arise using critical thinking to implement a solution
-Excellent customer service
-Strong communication skills
-Positive attitude
-Familiar with Northeast Ohio
-Multi-task between data entry, phones & email
