Great work by our DMT drivers and contractors who earned clean inspections in August!

These clean inspections reflect the effort our drivers and contractors put into staying prepared and maintaining their equipment. Our drivers and contractors don’t just do this during the first mile or the second mile, but instead, they are committed to safety during every single mile for the duration of the trip. Thank you for doing your part to keep DMT moving safely. We appreciate the work you put in every day!

A safe trip starts with a thorough pre-trip inspection and continues with an inter-trip inspection within the first 50 miles or two hours of your trip.

Taking a few minutes to stop and check your tires, lights, load securement, straps, chains, and other equipment can help catch potential issues before they become serious problems.

Stay alert, inspect often, and keep safety #1!

Traffic light accidents are some of the most common accidents on the road, especially for large commercial vehicles.

Staying alert and anticipating changes at traffic lights can help prevent these accidents. Watch the light from a distance as you approach, check your mirrors for tailgaters, and be prepared to stop well in advance. Always scan left to right for oncoming traffic that may run the light, even when you have the right of way.

Taking a few extra seconds to stay alert at every intersection can make a big difference.
