VMC Club Meeting: Thursday, June 11th @ 6:00 PM 📍 EAA Chapter 431 Hangar

📅 Schedule Change: Starting this month, we are moving to the second Thursday of every month!

Come out for another great interactive session—plus, attendees earn WINGS Credits.

🎓 Attention Ground School Students! This is a fantastic opportunity to step outside the textbook and learn how real-world pilots handle actual in-flight challenges. Come listen, learn, and ask questions!

This Month's Scenario: A pilot is flying a Cessna 182 Skylane on a VFR trip under three hours. Though current and competent, they have fewer than 10 hours in type. What steps can reduce risk and help prepare for an emergency in an unfamiliar aircraft?

Bring your thoughts and any recent flying experiences you’d like to share. See you there!

The Annual EAA Chapter 431 Community Pancake Breakfast went on in spite of the less than ideal weather yesterday. We still had a few hardy souls fly in for pancakes and had good drive in traffic.

Volunteers were amazing as always. Thank you for coming the last 2 weeks to prepare, coming early Sunday, helping serve, and cleaning up. This event isn’t possible without our great volunteers!

PANCAKE BREAKFAST PREPARATIONS (workday help and event volunteers needed)
Tomorrow, Saturday May 16 there is a Chapter workday from 9am-noon to prepare for the pancake breakfast on Sunday May 17th. Please come help if able as we prepare our facility for our biggest single day event of the year.

Also, we are always in need of volunteers to help on the day of the event. Come early (5am) and help set-up, help serve our guests (7-noon) or help with clean-up after the event (noon-2pm). Any time you have to come help will be appreciated.

Volunteers are critical to the success of this special event. We have a great chapter with many generous volunteers. Your support is always appreciated. If you have any questions call Rich Pember (608) 359-5182. If you are volunteering on the day of the event and need a yellow volunteer T-shirt call or pick one up at the workday on Saturday.

Just a reminder, VMC club is Tomorrow Thursday, 5/7 at 6pm at the EAA Chapter 431 hangar.
Attendees will earn WINGS Credits. Attending these sessions can also potentially save you money on your insurance while helping you become a better pilot.
The VMC Club scenario this month is titled "Starved of Attention" and was inspired by an actual flight as follows: our pilot is flying a Cherokee Six on a 100-mile VFR cross-country flight.
Our VMC/IMC Club Coordinators are asking attendees to think about personal scenarios that people have experienced recently.
