The annual Tribal Canoe Journey is a major cultural event in the Pacific Northwest where indigenous nations travel along ancestral waterways in hand-carved cedar canoes. The 2026 event is the Paddle to Nisqually Medicine Creek Potlatch. Yesterday several boats arrived at Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and they hosted a public event for everyone to join!

Can’t believe lupine season is already over at the house! 🥹 They were an absolute blast in the garden this spring. I found out they make incredible cut flowers, which meant I got to share their beauty with so many friends (and guests!) these past few months. Now, I’m busy collecting seeds and getting ready to spread them again this fall!
