Primary Companies

We're not the biggest carrier out there, and we like it that way.

At Primary Transportation Services, you get service with a name, not just a truck number. Since 1997, we've built our reputation one customer and one safe mile at a time.

Every load is backed by:
✅ Dispatchers who know your freight and your expectations
✅ Class A drivers with a Midwest work ethic
✅ Fleet monitoring and real time updates
✅ DOT compliance that's built in, not bolted on

When you call us, someone who cares picks up the phone.

In 1997, Primary Transportation Services started in Brillion, Wisconsin with fewer than 10 employees.

Today, Primary Companies is a family of four businesses and more than 80 people working together to keep freight and materials moving:

🚛 Primary Transportation Services: dependable trucking, from just in time loads to regional hauls

🌎 Primary Freight: freight brokerage by road, rail, and ocean with a network of 40,000+ carriers

📦 Primary Products: standard and custom pallets, plus a pallet buy back program

🪵 Primary Saw & Timber: timber milling, precision cutting, and custom lumber

What hasn't changed since day one are the values we run on: Treat others with respect. Deal fairly. Be honest. Honor commitments.

Our office crew traded spreadsheets for soup spoons on Saturday! 🍲

The team hit the De Pere Soup Walk and toured downtown on a perfect fall day, sampling some seriously tasty soups along the way. Proceeds from the event benefit the De Pere Food Pantry, which made every bowl even better.

Thank you to Definitely De Pere and all the local restaurants for putting on such a great event! 🍂

Not every load moves on our own trucks, and that's where Primary Freight comes in.

Our freight brokerage team works with a network of agent offices across the country to connect customers with reliable capacity, whenever and wherever they need it.

Relationships built on trust, service you can count on. That's Primary Freight.

Just a friendly reminder: our donation drive is still going strong through October 1st!

We're collecting towels, toilet paper, paper towels, hygiene products, underwear, and diapers for local families who need it most.

There's still time to drop something off at our Primary Companies office in Brillion.

Every item helps.

Still celebrating our drivers this week. 👏

Behind every on-time delivery is someone who chose this job knowing exactly how demanding it is, and shows up for it anyway.

To all our drivers: thank you for the miles, the dedication, and for representing Primary Companies well out on the road.

This week is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and we're kicking it off by saying thank you to every driver who wears the Primary name.

You're on the road before the sun's up. You handle the weather, the traffic, the long miles, and you do it so freight gets where it needs to go, on time, every time.

We see the work. We appreciate it. Happy Truck Driver Appreciation Week. 🚛

We talk a lot about what we do. Today we want to talk about who we need.

Primary Saw & Timber is looking to add to our team in Greenleaf. We're hiring a Production Worker for 1st shift, Monday through Friday.

No experience required, just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You'll be working alongside a crew that takes real pride in turning raw timber into precision-cut product.

If that sounds like you, or someone you know, give us a call at 920-864-2286 or visit https://www.primarycompanies.com/careers

It all started here.

Primary Transportation Services is where Primary Companies began, and it's still at the heart of what we do. Our drivers move freight across the Midwest day in and day out, home daily and OTR alike.

Reliable people, reliable equipment, reliable service. That's the standard we've held since day one.
