Edward F. Waske Jr. Inducted into the West Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame
Bridgeport, W.Va. — Engine & Airframe Solutions Worldwide (EASW) proudly announces that Edward F. Waske Jr., Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of the company, has been selected for induction into the West Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame, one of the state's highest honors recognizing individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to aviation.
With a career spanning more than five decades, Waske has built a reputation as one of the aviation industry's most respected aircraft maintenance experts and technical troubleshooters. His journey began in the United States Air Force, where he maintained military fighter aircraft before earning his FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. He went on to serve with Beech Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney, supporting aircraft operations and solving complex technical challenges throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Pacific.
In 2004, Waske partnered with Dr. Robert Martino to establish Engine & Airframe Solutions Worldwide (EASW) at North Central West Virginia Airport in Bridgeport. Under his operational leadership, EASW has grown into an internationally recognized aviation maintenance company serving hundreds of customers worldwide while bringing highly skilled aviation careers and economic growth to West Virginia.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Waske has become one of West Virginia's strongest advocates for aviation education. Known to many students simply as 'Mr. Ed,' he volunteers countless hours introducing young people to careers in aviation through classroom visits, summer programs, model aviation clubs, and the Carl Hopkins West Virginia Youth Aviation Expo, an annual event he founded to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals.
“Ed’s passion has always extended beyond airplanes,” said Dr. Robert Martino, CEO and co-founder of EASW. “He has dedicated his life not only to keeping aircraft flying safely but also to ensuring that young people discover the incredible opportunities available in aviation. This recognition is richly deserved, and all of us at EASW are incredibly proud of him.”
Throughout his distinguished career, Waske has supported U.S. embassies, corporate flight departments, military operations, and aviation organizations across the globe. He has also contributed to notable aviation projects, including work associated with the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum and aviation preservation efforts, while continuing to mentor aspiring aviation professionals throughout West Virginia.
The West Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame honors individuals whose achievements have significantly advanced aviation while bringing distinction to the Mountain State. Waske's induction recognizes a lifetime devoted to technical excellence, innovation, education, and service.
