The Wheeling & Lake Erie is looking forward to seeing everyone at the Transload Distribution Association of North America conference next week in Savannah, GA. We are proud to be a sponsor of TDANA!

Transloading enables our railroad to be innovative about capturing traffic, enabling customers to exercise rail as an option without being directly located next to a rail line. Transloading enables higher freight hauling capacity – 1 railcar is equivalent to 3 or 4 truckloads, meaning we can deliver your freight more efficiently and cost-effectively! Fuel costs are cheaper for trains than for trucks, bringing down your overall transportation costs.

We're actively hiring track laborers and conductors! Apply online and come to our hiring sessions on Friday, May 8th, but please note, there are two separate sessions:

Track Laborers - 8:00 A.M.
Conductors - 1:00 P.M.

The hiring sessions will be held at our main office in Brewster, Ohio at 100 East First Street.

These positions are critical for our railroad's day-to-day operation, and both work in tandem. Track laborers maintain the roadbed and track structure, while conductors command trains over our system. At long last—the wait is over, and you'll find access to custom shirts, hats, gadgets, and more. But this time, it's different.

Over the next few weeks, we will continue expanding the store to include additional logo options representing all of our railroad companies like the Union Railroad, Gary Railway, Delray Connecting, Fairfield Southern, East Ohio Valley Railway, Lake Terminal, and the Texas & Northern, giving everyone more choices for branded apparel and merchandise.
