Is it normal if the company asks me to pay when I show up? Can the price change on the day of the move??? Is that normal or against the law? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

Cool Springs Relocation does not charge until the job is complete. Some companies keep a credit card on file as a deposit to hold a moving date. In the state of TN there is no law against moving companies from changing the price the day of the move. We always present the fixed price paperwork to clients before the very start of the move. It has the terms that they agreed on; either the binding price or the hourly rate. They sign at the start and end a then the payment is taken.

If the company changes the price the day or during of the move call Better Business Bureau, additionally, always get moving quotes in print!
