To help you navigate Breckenridge's 4th of July festivities, here's a plan incorporating the provided road closure information:

Breckenridge 4th of July: Travel and Parking Plan

Breckenridge is a lively place on the 4th of July, with a full day of events. To make your experience enjoyable and stress-free, planning your transportation is key.

Key Road Closures and Traffic Considerations (July 4, 2025):

Main Street Closure: Main Street will be closed from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM (and from Ski Hill Rd to Adams Ave until 6:00 PM) for the parade and festivities.

Alternate Travel Route: Use Park Avenue to travel through Breckenridge during the Main Street closure.

South French Street Interruptions: Expect travel interruptions on South French Street between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM due to the start of the Firecracker 50 mountain bike race.

Boreas Pass Road: Be aware that Boreas Pass Road will have racers all day for the Firecracker 50. Exercise caution if driving or biking in this area.

Recommended Travel and Parking Tips:

1. Ditch the Car if Possible (Highly Recommended!):
* Walk or Bike: Breckenridge is very pedestrian and bike-friendly. Many accommodations are within walking distance of downtown, and the Blue River paved rec path offers a great way to get around.
* Breckenridge FreeRide: Utilize the town's free bus system, the Breckenridge FreeRide. This is the most efficient way to get around without a car. Check their routes and schedules for service to various parts of town and the ski resort.
* Hotel Shuttles: Many hotels and lodging properties offer their own free shuttle services to and from town. Inquire with your accommodation about this option.
* BreckConnect Gondola: The free BreckConnect Gondola connects downtown to Peaks 7 and 8 of the ski resort, providing easy access and bypassing road traffic.
