‼️ I-475 SOUTH CLOSED THIS WEEKEND‼️

Southbound I-475 will be closed again this weekend, beginning tonight, Friday, June 12 starting at 8 p.m., and lasting through Monday morning, June 15, at 6 a.m.

Major traffic impacts are expected on local surface roads throughout the weekend. The recommended detour for this closure is to take I-475 north around the loop to reach I-75 north and south.

The following ramps will be closed:
—Dussel on-ramp to southbound I-475
—U.S. 20A on-ramp to southbound I-475
—U.S. 24 on-ramp to southbound I-475
—RAMP from SR 25/Dixie Hwy CLOSED to I-75 north and south *this weekend*

The southbound on-ramp will be open at Airport Highway if you wish to reach one of the exits at Dussel or 20A. All remaining traffic will be forced off at U.S. 24.

This is southbound closure #3 of 4. One more time next weekend (weather pending), then we will do the same to northbound I-475 starting in July (dates tbd).

U.S Route 20 Fremont Bypass roundabout construction starts this Monday, June 15!

• Westbound U.S. 20 ramp to westbound E. State St. will close
• County Road 198 & County Road 229 access to U.S. 20 will close
• One lane will remain open in all other directions

Please use caution in the area as crews begin to mobilize and motorists adjust to these new patterns.

Parts of Sandusky County got 5+ INCHES of rain yesterday! We are seeing roads closed in the area due to flooding and high water on the roadways, along with significant berm washout on the shoulders.

• AS OF 2pm Wednesday, NOW OPEN: US 6 between US 20 and SR 510 (commercial detour uses SR 101 to US 20 and vise versa)

• SR 510 is closed north of SR 412 (and south of SR 412 due to construction).

Water may continue to rise and crest! Plan for unexpected detours and please don’t trust a puddle you don’t know! Report emergencies to 911! Turn around! Don’t drown!

—Fulton SR 2 closes west of Wauseon for 5 days

—Henry SR 18 closes west of Holgate to the county line for 10 days

—Henry SR 65 closes west of Deshler for 3 weeks (railroad’s work)

—Wood SR 105 closes west of Pemberville for 10 days

I-475 work is cancelled for this weekend, June 5-8, due to forecasted rain. The interstate and all ramps will remain open.

Two more full closures of southbound I-475 are required. We will try again next weekend, weather permitting. Northbound I-475 closures will then begin in July.

Project planning includes coring the pavement to determine the condition of the existing roadway. That work takes place years before a project begins and is performed by ODOT’s test lab personnel, like District 2’s Andy Rehner.

Ramp from US 23 south to I-475 east is closed due to a semi crash. Continue south on US 23 to turn around at Central or Dorr Street.

Westbound I-475 is seeing heavy delays while emergency crews work the original crash. Expect delays traveling westbound in the area.

We are closing the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway tonight to perform a detailed survey.

I-280 will be closed in both directions between Front Street and I-75, with ramps starting to close at 7 p.m. tonight. I-280 and all ramps will open by 6 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday).

Ramps to close at 7 p.m.:
-Front St. on-ramp to northbound I-280
-Southbound I-280 exit to Front St.
-Northbound I-280 exit to Galena/Greenbelt Pkwy.
-Greenbelt Pkwy. on-ramp to Southbound I-280

Ramps to close at 8 p.m.:
-Manhattan on-ramp to southbound I-280
-Starr Ave. on-ramp to northbound I-280
-Ottawa River on-ramp to southbound I-75
-Northbound I-280 reduced to one lane

Closures beginning at 11 p.m.:
-Northbound I-280 forced to exit at Front St.
-Northbound I-75 to southbound I-280 closes
-Southbound I-75 to southbound I-280 closes
