After years of dreaming of visiting Switzerland together, Lourdes and her late husband had to put those plans on hold. Following his passing, Lourdes chose to continue the journey they had imagined—not alone, but alongside her daughter, Camillia, and granddaughter, Kiara, for a meaningful three-generation Mother’s Day adventure.
As Camillia shared:
"My mother and father were travelers. They loved visiting the world! Because of my mother's health they have had to cancel several trips, including a cruise around the world. My mother's health finally improved to the point where they were able to plan a vacation. They chose to visit Switzerland. My father gave my brother is beloved Breitling watch and decided he was going to buy himself a new one....in Switzerland. Before they could book the trip my father's stage 4 cancer, which was diagnosed in 2023 took a turn for the worse and he passed on October 2, 2025.
My mother wanted to come full circle and finish what they started: to visit Switzerland. We narrowed the trip down to mid-May [and] thought it would be a great Mother's Day vacation. My mom invited my daughter and we thought it was inspirational if we [called it a] three generation Mother's Day vacation."
