When a heat wave hit Pomona this summer, we saw the real MVP of summer.

Our Keolis maintenance team works hard to keep our coaches running safely and reliably to deliver a comfortable journey for our passengers. On this day, the AC was the real MVP of summer and our passengers agreed!

The wave of cool air that greeted one particular passenger was appreciated and she let our operator know:

"It's not just the AC. It's the feeling that someone cares enough to make the ride better."

Keeping riders safe sometimes means acting fast under pressure. When a passenger needed urgent medical help, Operator Christopher Leake responded immediately, safely stopping his route, alerting Central Communications to bring medical responders to the bus, and staying with the situation until the passenger was cared for. Thank you, Christopher, for the calm, steady judgment and care you bring to the riders you serve every day. That is what keeps us moving.

Sometimes the most important care happens when things don't go as planned. Our Van Nuys team provides paratransit service for riders who depend on structure, consistency, and a team they can trust. So when an unexpected scheduling issue left one of our riders facing an extended, confusing delay, the team never wavered. The driver stayed patient and reassuring. Dispatch advocated tirelessly for a resolution, staying calm and solution-focused throughout. And a Road Supervisor stepped in on-site to see the rider safely home. Through it all, the rider remained calm, safe, and cared for. For the riders who count on us most, compassion and coordination make all the difference. When a young passenger flagged down her bus needing help, Operator Rosemary Llamas responded promptly and professionally, connecting them with the support they needed and helping keep them safe. Some of the most important work happens behind the scenes. Meet Silvia Hernandez Vigil, a vital part of Keolis' operations for Loudoun County Transit. Silvia independently maintains and cleans the facilities used by more than 200 employees, contractors, county staff, and visitors every day. As operations grew, she voluntarily stepped up with additional hours and weekend shifts to keep every space clean, safe, and welcoming. Her dedication often goes unseen, but its impact is felt by everyone. Thank you, Silvia, for all you do. That is what keeps us moving.

Victor Valley Transit Authority Operations Manager Jonathan McDowell was selected to the Special Event Operations Team for the FIFA World Cup 2026, joining colleagues from across Keolis to deliver safe, seamless transportation for one of the world's largest events.
