One thing I think every American should do at least once... leave the United States.
Not because America isn't beautiful. It is.
Not because there's anything wrong with being proud of where you're from. There isn't.
But because it changes your perspective.
I used to think a 100-year-old building was ancient. Then I stood in places where people have been walking the same streets for hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years.
You realize there are different ways to live, different ways to work, different foods, different cultures, and different ideas about what matters.
Travel doesn't just show you new places. It shows you how big the world really is.
Whether it's a cruise across the Atlantic, a week in Portugal, wandering the streets of London, or sitting at a café in France, getting outside your own bubble for a little while has a way of changing you.
You come home appreciating what you have, but also understanding there's a whole lot more out there.
If you've never left the USA, put it on your bucket list.
The world is bigger than we think.
