Phillip Scimeca had a dream. After the city of Joplin, MO was severly impacted by a catastrophic EF5 multiple-vortex tornado on Sunday, May 22, 2011, many people around the country rallied to offer relief, support, and prayers for this community. It was Phillip's idea to organize an event that would grow larger than he could even imagine! The first annual Phillip Scimeca Wiffle Ball Classic on September 4, 2011, raised a total of $5,775 for the community of Joplin. This event has evolved into an annual tournament raising funds to benefit local charities each year.
