Happy 50th Anniversary to our friends at Caldwell Executive Airport! They will be celebrating five decades of aviation history at a family-friendly event on Saturday, Sept. 5th from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. From supporting local businesses and emergency services to connecting people with new opportunities, Caldwell Airport plays an important role in our region’s aviation community. Just in time for Labor Day weekend, Mayor McLean cut the ribbon on the Boise Airport’s new Rental Car Center! The new facility brings rental car services together in one convenient location, creating a smoother experience for travelers as they begin their journeys through Boise and the Treasure Valley.

Thank you to HDR, McAlvain Companies, Yanke Motor Museum and everyone else who helped bring this important project across the finish line and joined us to celebrate!

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country, we're excited to welcome thousands of travelers through BOI this holiday weekend and we're glad to be part of your journey!

More than 76,000 people are expected to go through the airport between July 1-5. The busiest day will be July 5th. With higher-than-normal passenger volumes expected, we encourage travelers to:
✈️ Arrive early.
🧳 Pack smart and check TSA guidelines before you travel.
📱 Check your flight status before leaving for the airport.

After an incredible week representing Idaho at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, it's time to give our Special Olympics Idaho athletes the hero's welcome they deserve! Join us Saturday, June 27th at 2 p.m. in the airport arrivals lobby to cheer them on as they arrive. Bring your signs, your smiles and your loudest applause to help show these champions just how proud we are!

✈️🎉 What a sendoff for Special Olympics Idaho!

This morning, 26 of Idaho's Special Olympics athletes departed for the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games and were celebrated with a special gate party before takeoff. Athletes enjoyed gift bags from Paradies Lagardère and donuts as family, friends, coaches and other lucky passengers gathered to wish them luck!

The excitement isn't over yet! The final six members of Team Idaho will be departing from Jackson Jet Center around noon today. Community members are invited to stop by and help cheer on these incredible athletes as they head off to represent Idaho on the national stage.

Good luck, Team Idaho! We are proud of you and can't wait to follow your journey at the USA Games. 💙💛🏅

All community members, airport users, businesses and other stakeholders are invited to attend the first of three Master Plan public open houses:

📆 June 25, 2026
⏰ 6-8 p.m.
✈ Boise Airport, 3201 W Airport Way, Boise River Room on the third floor (parking will be validated)

The Master Plan is a comprehensive, facility-focused study that is evaluating existing airport conditions and forecasts of future aviation activity to identify potential facility needs required to safely and efficiently serve Boise and the surrounding region over the next 20 years.

The Master Plan is examining the airfield, terminal, landside roads and supporting infrastructure to determine where improvements, maintenance or expansion may be needed to accommodate anticipated growth, evolving aircraft technology, compatible land use and changing airline needs.
