Another successful Foundry Day Arts & Crafts Festival in the books! We hope everyone had a great day. THANK YOU to all who attended, exhibited, performed, directed traffic and drove shuttle buses. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our wonderful Boiling Springs community of volunteers who made everything happen - the Foundry Day Committee, the volunteers who helped set up and tear down, to F&M Trust volunteers who gave our exhibitors break times, and to Boy Scout Troop #171 for clean-up and for making water runs for our artists. THIS VILLAGE ROCKS!

Another lovely 2026 Foundry Day report!

Foundry Day in Boiling Springs is over til next year!

I spent the day talking with wonderful people, selling paintings, and catching up with old friends, new friends, collectors, and past and present students. I packed up just as the skies opened up and the downpour began. Thankfully, most of my display was already safely tucked into the car, and I managed to escape the worst of the rain.

One of the highlights of the day was a surprise visit from a dear friend I haven't seen in many years. Our children went to school together, and although we've stayed connected through Christmas cards and occasional messages, seeing her in person was such a joy!

Another moment that touched my heart happened when a young man stopped by my booth. He admired the paintings and said, "I can't afford anything in here, but I love your work. Can I give you a $10 tip?" I was so moved by his sweetness. I had brought along some small studies and asked if he would like one. He looked at the price and said, "But it's worth much more than $10." I told him, "Not today. For you, it's $10." The gratitude on his face nearly brought us both to tears.

Later, a woman who had purchased one of my larger paintings a few years ago stopped by to tell me how much she still loves it and how it reminds her of the flock of chickens she enjoyed raising. Hearing stories like that never gets old.

Moments like these make all the preparation, the early mornings, and the wrestling matches with tents and display walls almost worth it. Almost. 😊

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, admired the artwork, or took a painting home. You made my day.

Some kind words from one of our artists! The 2026 Foundry Day Arts & Crafts Festival was an awesome day!

Foundry Day was incredible!! It was my third vendor show in 5 weeks so I am tired, but more than anything, I'm so grateful for the turnout and that each show was more than worth it.

Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by and chatted, took class info, bought my artwork, signed up for my newsletter, and shared their creative endeavors and good juju 💛 It was a fantastic day!

The amount of work and detail all of the organizers and volunteers put into this event is next level. They put out a survey and I had zero notes, nothing but compliments, because you can tell they truly care about running a seamless event and taking care of their vendors. A big THANK YOU to them as well!

Congratulations to our two 2026 Foundry Day “Best in Show” winners! Terri Elliott of Terri’s Creations (booth 304) received the Fine Art Excellence Award and Cathy Ennis of My Artful Garden (booth 219) received the award for Fine Craft Excellence. Foundry Day Exhibitor Coordinator Ann Boncal (pictured) and PJ Heyman presented this years awards.
