Fresh off a flight from Alaska, I boarded another plane the next morning bound for Mexico.

Was I crazy? Probably.

What I found in Holbox was a tiny island with sandy roads, no cars, flamingos, dolphins, Cuban music, incredible food, and one of the most charming boutique hotels I've experienced in years.

Scenes from an all-too-short but deeply restorative stay at on Holbox.

Thank you to the incredibly gifted for creating such a soulful sanctuary, and to the joyful Lia and for making every moment feel special. To Max, who got me dancing on Cuban night. To my fellow travel advisors for the laughter, conversations, and good vibes. And to whose invitation brought us all together in this magical corner of the world.

And to the flamingos and the dolphin who appeared at just the right time—I’ll take them as signs of good luck and a reminder that magic often arrives when we slow down enough to notice it.

Sometimes the best journeys aren’t the longest ones—they’re the ones that remind you to pause. ✨

First-time cruisers. First-time Alaska. A brilliant surprise.

After attending the Travel + Leisure Cruise Summit in Vancouver, I joined my family aboard Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady for her inaugural Alaska season. What began as a long overdue family trip quickly became one of the most memorable voyages we've shared together.

From Dawes Glacier and whale sightings in Sitka to incredible dining, Scarlet Night, and world-class entertainment, there was something for everyone. Even as someone who usually prefers much smaller ships, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience.

Most importantly, every member of our family found their own reason to love the voyage.

Happy Mother’s Day to Mom who was the OG Travel Agent in our family. Every summer we would take elaborate summer vacations that always involved an overnight boat trip from our island to Manila, enrichment classes, sightseeing of the major highlights of the Philippines 🇵🇭, cultural events etc. I don’t know how she pulled it off in those days pre-internet but she did and we’re all the better for it.

Happy Mom’s Day to all of you who know how terribly confusing, sometimes exhausting but eternally rewarding it is to be a Mom. ❤️❤️❤️

From the moment you step into the 25 room 5* Virtuoso boutique hotel you’re immediately surrounded by tropical palms and birds of paradise. Walking through grass to reach our Jr Suite Garden with Vineyard Views was also transportive.

• Villa Cosy is open year round - the only hotel in Saint Tropez to do so
• It is a mere 10min walk (if you’re me) to reach Place de Lices
• Daily Continental Breakfast is included anytime you want and can be served at your room (we opted for this, what a treat)
• The outdoor pool is heated
• Espace Zen for a private whirlpool bath sesh was heaven sent
• Alex and team can organize anything for guests: winery visits, boat excursions etc
• They also have a 7-bedroom villa nearby
• The Spa has a Hamam (my preference), Sauna and treatment rooms. I got a Sothys facial - divine and much needed pampering.

Mostly I really loved coming back to this tropical oasis after a full day of exploring. Because it felt zen and cosy - like its name promises ❤️❤️❤️
