Thank You, Mr. Brown 💕
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Mr. Brown on May 28, 2026.
Mr. Brown joined Palmetto Breeze in 2019 and faithfully served the Lowcountry community for many years as the driver of the daily Estill Commuter Route 307. His reliability, kindness, and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of those he served.
Mr. Brown was more than a driver. He was a familiar face, a friendly presence, and a valued member of the Palmetto Breeze team.
We are grateful for his years of service and the positive impact he made on our riders, coworkers, and community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this time.
Thank you, Mr. Brown, for your service, your kindness, and your dedication. You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

6/2/26. Please join us in congratulating Charles Mitchell on his appointment as Executive Director of Palmetto Breeze, effective June 1, 2026!

Charles, a native of Hilton Head Island, has been a dedicated advocate for public transportation and the communities we serve, providing thoughtful leadership as a member of the LRTA Board of Directors and most recently as Board Chair.
His commitment to connecting people with jobs, health care, education, and opportunity has helped shape Palmetto Breeze's mission across the Lowcountry. We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to serve our riders and communities under his leadership.
Congratulations, Charles, and thank you for your continued service to the Lowcountry!

Please join us in congratulating Colleton County native Latosia Simmons on her election as Chair of the Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority Board of Directors.
Latosia brings years of business leadership, community service, and a genuine commitment to helping people thrive. As Board Chair, she will help guide Palmetto Breeze as we continue connecting Lowcountry residents to work, school, healthcare, family, and opportunity.

Oliver, who has been with us since January 12, 2022, was named Driver of the Month for March. Jamal, who joined us on July 29, 2024, was named Driver of the Month for April.
We are grateful for the care they bring to their work, the way they show up for our riders, and the steady service they give to the Lowcountry each day.
