We’re an authorized concession of the NPS. Price Lake Boat Rentals is a small, family owned business located on Price Lake at milepost 297 of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are approximately 4 miles from Downtown Blowing Rock and approximately 10 miles from Boone. Price Lake is a 4,200 acre recreational getaway that offers a glimpse in to what makes the High Country such a special place to spend time

with family and friends or even by yourself. We at Price Lake Boat Rentals encourage all visitors to the park to take advantage of all that JPP has to offer. So whether you're coming to rent a kayak, camping at JPP campground, hiking one of the many trails, or just stopping along the way, enjoy! We offer canoes, single kayaks, tandem kayaks, fishing kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and kids kayaks. We also sell firewood, snacks, drinks, and shirts. Cash, card, and apple pay are accepted. We are an authorized concession of the National Park Service.

NEW SHIRTS 🗣️

New shirts are in stock at the boat rental! Sizes range from Small to 2XL and colors are Bay, Berry, Ice Blue, and Ivory. All shirts have the Price Lake image with Grandfather on the back from slide one with the front of the shirt design having either rhododendron, guy with dog in canoe, or paddles. We also have all of these designs in stickers, including the sparkly rhodos in the last slide.

A huge thank you to Jess Dixon for bringing our ideas to life. These designs really encompass our favorite parts of Price lake and are so special to us. You can find Jess and her art at the Watauga County Farmers’ Market every Saturday.

This past weekend, my friends and I were enjoying the Beech Mountain Summer Concert Series. As the sun began to set, we found ourselves talking about all the things we’d still love to do before summer comes to an end.
That conversation got me thinking, so I decided to put together a list of some of the ideas we came up with. Whether you’re a local or just spending time in the High Country, I hope it inspires you to make the most of these final weeks of summer

The Blue Ridge Parkway is now back OPEN from Blowing Rock all the way to the Linn Cove Visitor Center! If you’re coming from Boone or Blowing Rock, this means you no longer have to take the detour! You can hop on the Parkway from HWY 321 in Blowing Rock or by turning onto the Parkway from HWY 221 by Sandy Flats/Shulls Mill entrance. If you’re driving from the Linville area, you will still need to access us via HWY 221 to Holloway Mountain Road for the time being. Thank you to everyone who has continued to make the longer drive to us the last few months! We will continue our daily rental rate all season 😎

We will be open all weekend from 10am-6pm with the last rental at 5, including Saturday the 4th! Come beat the heat with us with a paddle around Price Lake. The Parkway from HWY 321 to Price Lake has reopened for the holiday weekend, making it even easier to get to us 🙌
