Meet Drew and Becky – the heart and soul of our team!

Drew is our Senior Aquarist, and he embodies the heart of our Aquarist Team! With his mentoring role, Drew is always providing the team with the support and encouragement they need to succeed in their own roles. His constant drive to maintain trust within the team, facilitate open communication, boost team morale, and support others when it is really needed is what makes Drew the glue of the Displays Team!

Becky is our Displays Curator, and she is definitely the soul of our team here at SEA LIFE at Mall of America! Not only does Becky oversee the entire animal collection for SEA LIFE at Mall of America, but she also oversees the entire Displays Team! She works tirelessly to make sure that daily operations are being taken care of and that her team feels valued every day! Becky is the force that drives her team to stay focused and give 110% every day! Our team would not be the same without her!

Thank you, Drew and Becky, for all that you do for our team and for our animals!

Meet Kendall and Jackson!

Kendall, Aquarist 2, has been a part of our Displays Team for a little over 4 years now! Kendall has a passion for our shark collection here at SEA LIFE at Mall of America and is very invested in providing our sharks with the absolute best care possible! This sometimes includes performing annual medical examinations on the sharks and Kendall is a pro at this!

Jackson, Aquarist 1, recently celebrated his 1-year anniversary with us! Jackson is a JACK of all trades – for sure! He oversees a lot of different exhibits including freshwater fish, frogs, jellyfish, and even cold-water invertebrates! Jackson also excels at helping his teammates with various projects that come up!

Thank you, Kendall and Jackson, for all that you do for our team and for our animals!

Meet Grace and Zipporah!

Grace, Aquarist 2, is celebrating her 2-year anniversary with us TODAY!!! In the last year, Grace has started some major projects for SEA LIFE at Mall of America including hydroponics, live foods culturing, and syngnathid breeding! She is always pushing herself to take on new challenges and to learn as much as she can!

Zipporah, Aquarist 1, joined our team this past Spring all the way from Hawaii where she was working in sustainable marine fish aquaculturing! We are extremely excited to have Zipporah on our team and for her to guide our team on some new aquaculturing techniques to help sustainably increase and improve our animal collection!

Thank you, Grace and Zipporah, for all that you do for our team and for our animals!

Meet Stephani and Deanna!

Stephani, Aquarist 2, joined our team late last year all the way from Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas! She came to us with a wide variety of skills and knowledge but has really settled into reptile and amphibian care here at SEA LIFE at Mall of America! Stephani’s level of care and attention to detail has resulted in several improvements to our animal collection and we cannot wait to see what else she comes up with!

Deanna, Aquarist 1, will be celebrating her 2-year anniversary with us next month! She has really grown to love our Mississippi River animal collection including Walleye, gar, and a whole lot of turtles! Deanna has invested a lot of time and heart into training the turtles within our collection to make sure that they are receiving the best care possible!

Thank you, Stephani and Deanna, for all that you do for our team and for our animals!

Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🌊🐢

Did you know that sea turtle hatchlings face incredible odds in the wild? That's why "head start" programs exist! Biologists raise hatchlings in labs for a year so they are bigger and stronger before release. 🥚

Monty was a head start baby, but a rare bone disease made his flippers too stiff to survive the ocean. He found his forever home at SEA LIFE Orlando in 2024! 💙

Come celebrate World Sea Turtle Day with Monty! Plan your visit to Today! 🎟️
