New video emerging from inside AirBaltic flight landing. The nosewheel of the DHC-8 collapsed during landing at Riga.

On Saturday the runway of Rīga Airport was closed for five hours as the airBaltic flight BT641 from Rīga to Zurich was forced to perform an emergency landing. LSM offers a look at videos taken by passenger Raymond Prentice, showing the plane landing and passengers disembarking.

NTSB Report on Southwest Boeing 737-700, which happened a few weeks ago, when the #1 engine was damaged beyond repair inflight and caused an emergency landing. NTSB- "Southwest's Boeing 737's engine damaged when fan blade snapped". Thanks for the hard work. I could have guessed that bye looking at the photo lol!

Joe Sutter, the Chief Engineer of the original Boeing 747, has sadly passed away Tuesday. Mr. Sutter was involved in the development of many early Boeing jet transport aircraft for Boeing. He will be missed bye all of the Boeing staff, his great work, and all of the people who worked and new him personally!

An Emirates Boeing 777 attempting a go-around that crash landed at Dubai International Airport the other day with 300 souls on board, has been confirmed to have tried to make a go-around, while extremely low, and unable to get a positive rate of climb, the gear was retracted anyway, a major no-no. The aircraft ended impacted the runway ripping the #2 engine off creating a possible fuel leak which lead to a fire. Although everyone evacuated successfully with no injuries, it's a real shock that Emirates had this type of accident. Emirates has had a incredible safety record, and I believe this is the first major incident for them.

The much anticipated movie of the US Airways flight 1549 in 2009, known as the "Miracle on the Hudson," will be in theatre's in the U.S. on September 9th. Titled "Sully". This is the actual story of Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger & First Officer Jeffrey Skiles, who experienced a dual engine failure on an Airbus A320 after striking geese at 2,800 ft. after a routine departure from Laguardia Airport. The Egyptian government say's, it has found the wreckage of EgyptAir Flight , an Airbus A320 with 66 passengers and crew onboard, traveling from Paris to Cairo last month, which had crashed into the Mediterranean Sea.

The Egyptian government says it has found the wreckage of EgyptAir Flight 804, which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on May 19, in several locations.

By 2023 Irkut plans to produce 70 aircraft MC-21 annually. The first 4 planes will be delivered to Russian flag carrier Aeroflot in 2018.

Our hearts go out to US Navy/Marine Captain Jeff Kuss, of the Blue Angels, as well as his wife & two small children. As the catastrophic crash in Tennessee has been confirmed bye the U.S. Navy, that he has expired in the crash. Godspeed Sir 🇺🇸!
