Back from a six-day jury trial in Hillsdale County, Michigan. Client charged with open murder (first degree premeditated murder with lesser included offenses of second degree murder and voluntary manslaughter) and felony fi***rm. Charges arose out of a incident involving the defensive use of a pistol during an encounter with three teenage boys.

Working together with co-counsel and my very good friend Terry Johnson, and a team of friends with skills, the client was acquitted on all counts. The defense team included two experts, another very good friend, Jeff, and Oakland County Medical Examiner, Dr. Ljubisa Dragovic. These two experts were also the only defense witnesses called. Thanks to team members Alanna, Tom, Jerry, Joel, Linda, Katherine, Allison, Deb, Jared and many others. What a great team effort. Justice is served.

Another win in the Drone Rights arena. The Michigan Court of Appeals AFFIRMS the trial court's permanent injunction against Ottawa County.

The Michigan Court of Appeals, on Nov. 17, said the ruling of Circuit Court Judge Karen Miedema in November 2021 would stand.
