Please help us spread the word about the TFR’s that will be going into effect Friday October 16th. The closest TFR that affects our direct airspace is 14nm to our west and currently is from 1:30pm until 5:15pm local time.

The other, is a little further to the south that overlaps the bottom section of the northern one. Make sure that if you are flying Friday take notice of this and check often to make sure times have not changed.

☀️ Another Beautiful Morning at KDZJ! ✈️

We couldn't ask for better flying weather here at Blairsville Municipal Airport!

We didn't manage to capture a picture of the spaceship everyone is talking about this morning 🚀, but we did happen to catch this beautiful view over the runway just before sunrise!

We've got a busy week ahead, and we invite you to come experience some of the aviation activity happening right here at KDZJ!

Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful place to relax, we've got indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy the mountain views and watch aircraft come and go. We even have an outdoor table if you'd like to bring lunch and enjoy a meal overlooking the airfield!

🚁 We've got some interesting aircraft expected this week!

Among them are military helicopters and a historic 1943 Beechcraft Model 18 (Twin Beech) that saw service during World War II!

⚠️ A Friendly Reminder: If you come out to visit, please stop by the terminal and check with airport staff before entering the aircraft ramp. Ramp access requires permission from airport personnel.

We look forward to seeing you at KDZJ!

Today we’re celebrating some of the four-legged members of the Blairsville Municipal Airport family! ✈️🐶

Meet Kaia, Piper, and Andy — three good dogs who know that the airport is a pretty great place to hang out. ❤️

Kaia and Piper keep Andy on his toes… after all, it’s tough being the only boy in the pack! 😂🐾

Whether they’re keeping watch around the airport, greeting visitors, or simply enjoying a beautiful day on the field, these pups are an important part of what makes KDZJ feel like home.

Getting a number of questions about handicap parking, and whether our buses are wheelchair accessible.

We will have 8 buses running all day and 2 of them are ADA / wheelchair accessible.

The ADA shuttle stop is at the United Community Bank building directly across Airport Industrial Dr from our main parking area off Thomas Farm Rd. See attached image indicating the ADA bus route and let us know if any questions about this.

Many thanks to United Community Bank for letting us use their parking lot!

See you Saturday!
