Alpine Logistics is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to add to our Dispatch team for our trucking company.

Experience is preferred but not required.

Truck Dispatcher Duties & Responsibilities:

The right candidate will be proficient with computer technology, including basic knowledge of programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. and be able to type approx. 40 words per minute.

Able to operate and communicate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, while maximizing drivers’ available time on the road.

Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers, and obtain the necessary documents that drivers will need when shipping freight.

Be an analytical thinker, highly organized, and have excellent interpersonal skills as dispatchers must interact with company truck drivers, vendors, and customers from all across the country.

Must be fluent in English.

Must be able to be on a rotational “on-call” schedule once trained.

Compensation depends on experience.
