❄️Winter: Zion National Park

Much like Arches National Park, Utah's Zion National Park just down the road is another desert oasis that is scorching hot (and flooded with tourists) during the summer, but quiet, peaceful, and sometimes even snowy during the winter.
The park's particularly low elevation means that winter temps here are mild and entirely tolerable.
According to Utah.com, snow rarely reaches the canyon floor, but it isn't out of the ordinary to look up and see white-capped sandstone peaks and trees.
To take the adventure even further, road trippers can drive from Zion to Las Vegas, 2.5 hours, or to Bryce Canyon National Park, 1.5 hours away.

🌟Zabriskie Point offers a stunning panorama of the badlands near Furnace Creek in Death Valley National Park.
The overlook stands at the upper east end of a badlands terrain full of impressive canyons and gulches. A short walk up a paved hill is all that is required to take advantage of this amazing vantage point.

The views from Zabriskie Point are impressive in every direction. To the northeast, Manly Beacon rises up behind waves of yellow and orange colored badlands. To the right of the beacon are the distinct cliffs of Red Cathedral (best seen from Golden Canyon).

Zabriskie Point is just a short drive From Furnace Creek and an easy stop en route to Dante’s View. This should be considered a must-stop on any first trip to Death Valley.
The best time to visit is the early morning when the light is best.

To get to Zabriskie Point: From Furnace Creek, drive southeast on Highway 109 for 4 miles. Turn right into the parking lot for Zabriskie Point.

🌋The Cima Dome & Volcanic Field National Natural Landmark, or Cinder Cones National Natural Landmark, includes the Cima Dome, Cima Volcanic Field, and Cima Volcanic Range, and is in the Mojave Desert within San Bernardino County, California, United States.

The dome and volcanic field with cinder cones are located within the National Park Service Mojave National Preserve south of Interstate 15 and Baker, off Kelbaker Road towards Cima, and north of the Kelso Visitors Center and Interstate 40.

Cima Domeis a broad sloping upland dome, the erosional remnant of granite plutons that formed deep under the Earth's surface 180 - 80 million years agowhen the Farallon Plate was being subducted beneath the North American Plate.

🌊Wave Rock in Hyden is one of the most famous rock formations in Western Australia’s.
⠀
One of Australia's biggest waves is also the furthest from any ocean - Wave Rock rises 15 metres above the outback plain. Over 2,700 million years in the making, today it's a popular tourist destination.

This 110-metre long multi-coloured granite cliff is shaped remarkably like a huge wave about to crash onto the bush. Pose on the rock face and surf the giant wave or see it from a different perspective by following the walk trails around the base and over the top.

📍Located near the Wheatbelt town of Hyden, getting there from Perth is a pleasant 340-kilometre drive (approximately three to four hours) through picturesque rolling farmlands to wide vistas of wheat and canola fields.
