We are the student ministry of Church of the Highlands! Team Night is all about training, equipping, and sustaining students who serve on the Dream Team.
Highlands Students (Junior High, High School & College) is a dynamic new approach to connect students in a life-giving relationship with Jesus and help them get planted within the church. Our vision is to put students in motion by leading them through the same process we are all in…being pastored in small groups, trained and equipped in the growth track, and launched into their purpose through the
dream team. To do that we have redefined Wednesday nights to make them more intentional to that end.
• 1st Wednesday: All students are encouraged to attend the First Wednesday service at their campus.
• 2nd Wednesday: All students from all campuses will gather at either Grants Mill or Auburn in the main auditorium for “Motion Night.” This will be an incredible night of worship and teaching focused on inspiring students to take the ‘next step’ in their relationship with God. Transportation from most of our campuses is provided.
• 3rd, 4th, 5th Wednesday: All students from all campuses gather together for Team Night! It also provides an additional opportunity for students to complete the Growth Track. If you want to join the Dream Team or jump on the Growth Track then Team Night is for you. Small groups are the backbone of our church, so we highly encourage your student to get involved this semester! This is the easiest way to make friends within your student’s age group. All small groups will be listed online here: http://www.churchofthehighlands.com/groups

Highlands Students (Junior High, High School & College) exists to connect students in a life-giving relationship with Jesus and help them get planted within the church. Our vision is found in Psalms 92: 12-15, “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
Parents, we want to see your student in an authentic relationship with God and connected to the local church. Our goal is to help take students on a spiritual journey as they follow Christ. We accomplish this by helping them Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Making a Difference. As students take these steps they will grow closer to God, have great relationships, and learn how to serve and lead in the church. We believe that students who are connected to a life-giving church and healthy relationships can follow Jesus for a lifetime, and they will use their gifts and passions to make an impact on earth.
• MOTION Night: MOTION Night is a worship experience for students like no other! Designed to help students connect with God and with each other, each month you will experience a different MOTION Night theme that will encourage you in your walk with Jesus. From the lobby, to worship, to the message, and beyond, you will experience a fun, welcoming environment that is both inspiring and encouraging.
• ONE: College student service. At ONE, you will experience a laid back environment designed specifically with college students in mind. Come early to hang out, grab coffee and connect with other students. During service, you will experience God through worship and a Biblical message from the Highlands team. You do not need to be a member of Church of the Highlands to attend. Invite your friends!
• City groups: City Groups are hosted all across the state of Alabama in the homes of our incredible Dream Team members. These groups exist to disciple students and help them grow in their relationship with God and people. Students then gather together for worship and break into small groups based on age and gender for a discipleship lesson and discussion.During this discussion time, students are given an opportunity to apply what they have learned in their small groups.
