Just back from Kaiya Beach Resort on 30A. Thank you to the Kaiya Team and the Coral Tree Hospitality Team for a few amazing days!

We rode bikes, did some shopping, spent an afternoon on the beach, and ended the trip with a fantastic low country shrimp boil.

What stuck with me most: the beautifully designed villas that go from two bedrooms up to six. An art gallery on property. Beachside service and the most comfortable beach chairs I have ever sat in. How quiet it felt, even with 30A busy all around it. Plus a restaurant opening soon, which I expect to be one of the best on 30A.

30A can feel busy and hard to escape the crowds, Kaiya gives families a truly relaxing escape right along the water. If you are planning a family or multi-family trip to 30A, Kaiya is the place for you!

We are big believers in traveling with your kids. It is one of the best ways for them to learn about themselves, the world, and the life skills they will not pick up in the comfort of everyday life such as patience, flexibility, and how to talk to someone who does not speak your language.

One of the biggest lessons for my kids happened in St. Barths when they were around 10 and 11. We had dinner with friends whose three kids spoke zero English. Mine were not thrilled at first, but they walked away with a little French and a lot to laugh about. We still tease them about the long silence at their end of the table.

Watching my kids turn into world explorers has been a really fun part of being a mom 🩵
