Day by day plan for Spain and/or Morocco. These are separate trips but dovetail into one another if you want to go Big!
Southern Spain
April 6-13 (14th optional) Includes hotel, tours/ activities, breakfast and transportation between cities. $2600 $340 single supplement
You ae responsible for international flights, insurance, tips and most meals
April 6. Arrive Seville
Accommodation: Hotel Inglaterra
Group dinner and quiet evening strolling SEville, the vinbrant capital and cultural heart of Andalusia. Perhaps a stroll in Maria Luisa park and a nice Spanish w**e while taking in the sunset at Las Setas.
April 7
Cultural tour including Plaza de Espana, the Alcazar and the Sevilla Cathedral
Free evening, perhaps another sunset drink or stroll this time along the Guadalquivir River
April 8
This a free day but exploration of the city by e-bike or some shopping is in order.
In the evening we will feast on tapas and ytake in a traditional flamenco show at Carboneria
April 9 Depart for Cordoba by train
A short ride (1 hr) and we arrive in Cordoba, home of FOU UNESCORTED World Heritage sites. Accomodation: La Boutique Puerta Omaria
We will enjoy a tour of the Alcazar. Yes almost every major city seems to have an
Alcazar, the Moorish word for fortress.
This tour will include the Jewish Quarter as well learn about the history of this region as it changed hands, and religions, over the centuries
April 10 We again head to the train station and make our way to Granada. (1.5 hours)
Accomodation: Hotel America, adjacent to the Alhambra
Our afternoon and evenings are free but one of the most highly coveted spots is Mirado De San Nicholas at sunset. Sounds Ike a great spot to end the day
April 11 The Alhambra A guided in-depth tour of one of the most significant Moorish sites, celebrated worldwide as the finest and best-preserved masterpieces of medieval Islamic architecture. This tour is 4-6. Bring comfy shoes
April 11 Our support of the Spanish train system continues as we embark on a 3 hour train ride to Ronda
Accomodation: Hotel Palacio de Hemingway
In Ronda, the birthplace of bullfighting and renowned for w**emaking, we will spend the afternoon touring the iconic Puente Nuevo bridge. There will be plenty of time in the late afternoon and evening to explore some of the sites of this city. Where you get to craft you own activities and make this experience uniquely yours. A final dinner together
The next day those continuing on to Morocco will have a rest day in this idyllic town before we make our way toward Tangier.
Those returning to the US can add the additional day or make your way back to Seville for your return.
I will connect with each person individually to determine train and hotel needs and assist with as aspects until you board your flight home.
Morocco
Those in Spain will make their way to Tarifa to catch the ferry, a 60 minute ride across the Strait of Gibraltar
April 14 Tangier, Morroco
Accomodation: Riad Dar Souran
Tangier serves as the stating point and the joining of those coming from Spain and those flying in to experience Morocco, a nation that is part Mediterranean, part African and rooted in Moorish and Islamic traditions.
A group dinner of tangine stews or maakouda after a visit to the Medina will set the trip in motion. Morocco is known for its for exceptionally savory foods and I count it as some of the best food Ive ever eaten. Perhaps a progressive dinner of street food vendors?
April 15 We make our way by private transport. A two hour drive toward the Rif Mountains will land us in Chefchaouen, the Blue City. Accomodation: Riad Tassili Chaouen
After dropping bags at the hotel we will take a guided walking tour of the city. Or perhaps we will have a cooking class with a local family and do a night time tour. The possibilities are endless
From the blue City we make our way by private transport to Fez. Approx 4 hour drive
Fez April 16
Accomodation: Riad Al Bartal
This is the perfect chance to stop and pamper yourself. A hammam, traditional bath/massage, can be scheduled for either evening in Fes. We’ll wander the Fes Medina and have dinner at one of the small restaurants where cats, tourists and locals mingle over savory tagines and hot mint tea.
April 17 A tour of the Fes Medina and local historical sites
April 18 Depart for Marrakech by plane
Arrive in Marrakech late afternoon. A chance to wander the Medina around our Riad before a dinner in Jemaa El Fna square, the heartbeat of Marrakech

Our Riad is in the Medina and steps to shopping and lovely restaurants
April 19
Sunrise hot air balloon ride over Agafay Dessert. An afternoon street food tour
April 20
A trip to Berber villages and a light hike in the High Atlas Mountains
April 21 Free day. Do you want a cooking class? Time to take in the museums?
A full day to get lost in the Medina shopping and eating pastries while petting the local cats? I’ll help you finish off your trip with your must see/ do bucket list items
April 22 Return flights to Tangier/Seville/USA
Trip includes 4 star hotels, breakfasts, in country transportation, English speaking guides, entrance fees and tours. $2800 with a $580 single supplement
