I’ve got a couple of portlights (windows) that have been leaking when it rains. I’ve been waiting for a good, dry weather window to take the portlights out and rebed them so the sealant has plenty of time to set and dry. I finally got a weather window with no rain in the forecast. Today I took out the portlights, cleaned them real good, laid a good bead of marine sealant (about $27/tube), and reinstalled them. I’ve had them finished about an hour…and now it’s raining.
