Make sure everything is fully packed, closed, and taped before the movers arrive.

2. Clear the Pathways
Keep hallways, stairs, and entrances free of clutter so movers can work safely and efficiently.

3. Identify What’s NOT Moving
Clearly separate or label anything that should stay behind.

4. Measure the Big Stuff
Check furniture against doorways, staircases, elevators, and tight spaces ahead of time.

5. Tell Us About Special Items
Pianos, oversized furniture, antiques, artwork, or anything requiring extra care should be communicated in advance.

A little preparation goes a long way. Have boxes sealed, pathways cleared, and anything that isn’t moving clearly identified. And if you have oversized, fragile, or specialty items, let your moving company know ahead of time so the crew can arrive prepared.
