I always love getting updates and seeing pictures from clients while on their trips, especially during weeks like this when it's bitterly cold and I know that's putting a damper on things. I had one family at Universal and one at WDW with an almost 3 year old who loved meeting the characters, reminding me of our daughter's first trip at almost 3. She was so shy of the characters on day one that I had to hide behind them with my hand on her back to get her to stay for a picture. By the end of the trip she loved the character interactions and still does! Do you love character interactions?

3 backpacks for 3 moms wanting a fun break are now hopping on a plane to Orlando and luckily enough are getting to avoid snowicemageddon 2026 😁
Dinner, fireworks and electrical water pageant at WDW tonight, then 3 days at Universal for Rock the Universe followed by a day at Epic Universe.
I brought my laptop so I can keep up with work, but quotes and consultation calls will be delayed while I enjoy a little time off during the day!

If you are familiar with WDW at all, you know how crazy a 25 minute wait for a walk-on walking attraction is! 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑳𝑳𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝑲 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝑺 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒃𝒚 𝟐 𝒑𝒎 𝑬𝑺𝑻 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚. A few cancellations and extra releases popped up, but it was a tough day across all parks for LL availability. My family in MK still managed 15 attractions plus the Christmas parade AND a table service meal in 10 hours. That leaves just 3 LLMP rides on their list for their second MK day later this week, plus fireworks, the train and a couple of character greets. 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝒔𝒐 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒄𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 backed with data of which LLs sell out first, which rides will still have lower standby waits and hour after the park opens, and which rides are more likely to have LLs cancellations that can be picked up throughout the day for earlier windows. I've had people tell me they only rode 1-2 rides in a day because they couldn't get LLs and didn't want to wait 60-90 minutes. What would you do? While I never encourage booking Orlando trips for this week, if it's the only week you have available and you can afford the higher prices, it CAN be done successfully!

7 months away from WDW Parks is very unusual for me, so I'm going to soak up every minute of this mom trip weekend and will only be servicing those families traveling within the next month. I'm not even taking my laptop!!! Feel free to e-mail with questions and quote requests and I will respond next week when I return, in the order received.

I'm one upping my Universal knowledge with site tours and training sessions this week. This morning I learned a couple of tidbits that I didn't know before. Looking forward to learning more new things this afternoon. I'll explore Epic on Friday.

Do as I say, not as I do! I leave in less than 6 hours for the airport, headed to Orlando for a week for training. I have packed NOTHING. Not. One. Thing. So far I've managed to pull my "Florida bag" (filled with things I typically only need there) down from the closet, and make a short partial list, but that's as far as I've gotten. Still scrambling to finish up some work things, and tidy the house as well. We'll see if I sleep any overnight or just on the plane in the morning. 😳

At dusk last night I got my first lesson on using the zero turn mower at my mom's house. The grass was 4-5 inches over the top of my shoes, so well overdue for a cut! 20 minutes later I described it like riding with a toddler on Tomorrowland Speedway, but with more power/speed. 😆 While the tiny headlights weren't enough to see by, I can't blame my lack of zero turn skills on that. This isn't the best spot in the yard, but also not the worst. 🤣 Do you have any funny real life comparisons to things at Disney Parks?

What does the summer at WDW look like with LLs? It means working harder to line things up early and late to avoid the park during the brutal afternoon heat. Here's how one recent family fared with my help. Even with a 5 hour park break, note how the LLs move around the park with little to no backtracking. I love it when a plan comes together and my hard work pays off for my clients! Crowd level 4 for reference. The only big ride they didn't get a LL for was Space Mountain because it was down for almost 8 hours and they pulled all the LLs.

I realized this afternoon that I never posted the results from 3/23 with the slim LL availability at park opening. I had my family prebooked with Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion and Pirates for morning times initially. They weren't interested in most of the smaller rides, so throughout the day I did get them a LL for everything on their yes list for multi-pass. I was able to get 3 more tier 1 LLs and 4 more tier 2 LLs. Here's how their day went:

4 tier 1 LLs and 5 tier 2 LLs. This was a crowd level 4 day but the lack of LL availability was more like a crowd level 8. It was the most difficult LL day for me so far out of 4 weeks of this spring break season. I think Mad Tea Party and Monsters Inc were the only 2 LLs that I didn't have to spend time refreshing to get lined up where I needed them. As I always say, if you know the system and are willing to put in the time - or have someone else do it for you ;-) - then you can get good use out of it.
