There's a BIG difference between a truck driver, and a TRUCKER.
A truck driver does it for a paycheck. They have no connection to it. They have no love for it. They have no passion for it. They take no pride in it. They dont care what they drive, the shape it's in, or what anyone else thinks of it. It makes money, and that's good enough for them. If they crash? There's another company that will take them. If they happened to lose their license? No big deal. There's another paycheck somewhere.
A TRUCKER is the exact opposite. Their Rig is an extension of them. It represents them. It's thee largest and flashiest business card you'll ever see. They do it for the love of it. They do it because diesel runs through their veins. They do it for polished chrome, and the glow of a thousand chicken lights. They do it for the thumbs up, and the little kid doing the arm pump for the air horns. They do it to live. The slightest scratch on their rig is as heartbreaking as losing a friend. They handle that truck with pride and velvet gloves. They would never risk doing damage to something they've put their soul into. Sometimes they truck for reasons they don't even understand, but they know it feels right. The paycheck? It's just an added bonus.
TRUCKERS are a dying breed. The introduction of Electronic log devices is chasing these pride filled, extremely experienced, members of Asphalt Americana out of the industry they love. Why? To make more room for the paycheck truck drivers. So I ask you this.... Who would you rather share the road with? -HK

Happy New Year! " The more things change the more they stay the same "I believe sums up 2022. The way the mind set of people is changing is scary to me. The way they have tried to change us since COVID is scary to me. I hope God himself knows why and how it started and if it was man made for a purpose, MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. Some changes here at JM Trucking. Doug White has moved on to work with Brun's Trucking. Doug was here over 20 years. The memories are endless from this friend and partner. We cut a big swath at one point in time. We can not thank him enough. We have purchased another T 800 with a full time driver on his way. That didn't work out as planned. Ed Mark is filling in until the right guy shows up. We appreciate everything Ed does " he's suppose to be retired ". As so many of us out here DRIVER NEEDED here as well. Give us a look if your looking to change.
