Dear Aviation Community,

I would like to introduce you to the newest (old) FBO in Bend, Gibson Air Service. Steve Gibson is the son of the late Pat and Marge Gibson. In 1950 Pat and his wife started the very first FBO in Bend and were successful for many years

Steve is bringing back his parents legacy by reopening Gibson Air in the old red Quonset Hut 2 doors down from Pro-Air. The same building

was the hanger for the business, and Steve and his sisters grew up in a house that is now the terminal owned by the City of Bend. Gibson Air Service offers an excellent professional maintenance staff headed by Mick Guinn. Mick has over 30 years experience in aviation maintenance from the Army working on helicopters, to a Lancair/Columbia factory mechanic (not just factory trained), to experimentals and even the big iron. He specializes in composite repair and has decades of experience working on all types of general aviation aircraft. Our shop is fully insured and we also do prop balancing for a full service experience. Gibson Air Service will soon launch a complete pilot supply store with charts, flight instruction materials, headsets, and all necessary items that pilot’s need most. We have a comfortable pilot lounge where all are welcome to come and hanger fly till their hearts are content. In addition, we are an authorized HERTZ car rental center offering full day, weekly, and even crew car rentals. Pilot Prayer

Oh controller, who sits in tower
Hallowed be thy sector.
Thy traffic come, thy instructions be done
On the ground as they are in the air.
Give us this day our radar vectors,
And forgive us our TCA incursions
As we forgive those who cut us off on final.
And lead us not into adverse weather,
But deliver us our clearances.

The fly-in Drive in Ride in At the RED Hangar Starts tomorrow morning at 8am We can't wait to see all of you out at the airport in the morning. We have put a lot of work into this event in the hopes that you will all have an amazing time supporting the local aviation community. The Gibson Air Service Family will be at KBDN from 6:00am tomorrow morning setting up the final details to our raffles, prize wheel and other things that we have in store for all of you folks. Whether you are a Pilot, Aviation enthusiast or just want to have some fun we have something in store for you all... :) We are SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU ALL>>>>!!!!!!!!
