In case anyone was wondering .....
What is trucking? It's $570 a week payments. It's $270 a week insurance. It's $1500 a week paying for fuel. It's brokers gouging the s**t out of you. It's breaking down spending $800 to stay in a hotel to wait for your truck to get done. It's getting a $10000 mechanic bill. It's spending $50 a month on a device in your truck to micromanage your time. It's shippers and receivers being rude and disrespectful and wasting your time. It's having to make do In your truck when you have to go to the bathroom because the shipper or receiver won't allow you to use the bathroom while they hold you up for 5 hours or more!! It's delivering goods to the same people that cut you off in traffic and then give you the finger because you inconvenienced them for being on the roads that you use to deliver them their goods. It's using truck stop showers that still have p***s on the floor. It's eating food you wouldn't feed to your dog but you eat it anyway because you're hungry. It's being harassed by the DOT. It's trying to find a safe place to park. It's trying to make an honest living while having to deal with ridiculous rules and regulations. It's staying away from your family and friends for weeks and months at a time so America has what it needs. It's being scared of driving through major metropolitan areas at night during civil unrest. It's not having a normal life that you all take for granted. It's having the heart of a lion and a soul of an angel because you've witnessed the worst of humanity. Being a trucker is in our blood. It becomes a lifestyle. It becomes our life. We bitch, we complain but we love what we do. All we ask is you give us a little respect for the sacrifices we make for you!
