Remember these?

Back at the beginning of the year we welcomed these cranes from Port of Tacoma which arrived by barge to the Bellingham Shipping Terminal. Using our upgraded heavy‑lift area, Nordholm Companies was able to position the cranes and carry out the disassembly process.

Well… It went so smoothly they’re bringing more.

On Monday 6/1 three more decommissioned cranes will be transported via barge from the Port of Seattle to be disassembled at our shipping terminal.

Because the cranes need to be offloaded during high tide conditions, much of the unloading activity will take place overnight. Nearby residents and businesses may notice increased lighting and noise levels during these overnight operations.

We’re keeping the momentum going by putting the Bellingham Shipping Terminal and its modernization to work on regional projects.

Perfect weather, a huge turnout, and a busy day across Marine and Zuanich Parks.

Plus, a few orca sightings out in the bay!

Ski to Sea at its best.

It was great to see Port parks filled with athletes, families, and visitors from across the country for this one-of-a-kind relay.

Thanks to Ski to Sea for another incredible event that brings together so much of what makes this place special.

Already looking forward to next year.
