Here's a fun excursion if your cruise stops in Puerto Plata or Amber Cove, Dominican Republic. While there we got to swim with sharks, hang out with a dolphin, and get kissed by a sea lion. All fantastic, but going inside this bird aviary may have been my favorite part.

Reminiscing this morning and it made me want to share something. If I could offer you one piece of advice, I would tell you to vacation with your kids and grandkids. It's truly the best memories you will ever make and something you will all always remember and cherish. Maybe the gift of travel this year instead of physical gifts for Christmas?
