Jay Ellenby, President of Safe Harbors Business Travel, has been honored with this year’s Paul M. Ruden Industry Ambassador Award from the ASTA - American Society of Travel Advisors. Ellenby is a past Chair of ASTA’s Board of Directors and a longtime board member. 🏆🛬

The award, one of ASTA’s highest honors, was presented during a black-tie dinner at the organization’s annual Travel Advisor Conference, held last week in San Diego. The Paul M. Ruden Industry Ambassador Award is presented annually to the ASTA member who best represents the travel advisor community as an ambassador to multiple audiences, including policymakers, the broader travel industry and the traveling public.

Named for longtime ASTA staff leader and industry titan Paul Ruden, the award is inspired by his decades-long record of service in support of the travel agency profession. It underscores the recipient’s dedication to championing the value of travel advisors and advancing the health and visibility of the industry.

In response to receiving this award, Jay Ellenby states, “As one of ASTA’s highest honors, this recognition means a great deal to me because it reflects the collective work of so many people who believe in the value of our industry and travel advisors. I’m grateful to ASTA and to everyone in our community who speaks up for this industry every day.”
