1845 Broadwood grand piano soundboard - When Chopin was forced to flee France and take refuge in England in the spring of 1848, he accepted the offer to use what was then the largest grand piano made by Broadwood & Sons. This 1845 Broadwood grand piano is identical in style to the ones provided to Chopin for touring. Before he embarked on the official tour, Chopin earned 20£ per appearance for morning recitals at the homes of wealthy patrons.

At the home of William Amory, this was the piano available to Chopin when he was employed for the morning by Mrs. Amory in May of 1848. The story was told and retold within the family — and finally condensed into a recollection of the grumblings that William made on paying the outrageous sum of 20£ for a musician!

An amazing detail of this instrument is that except for a very few replacements, these are the original strings that Chopin heard vibrate.

Hello all! This is a 1988 Yamaha C3 grand piano; it is for sale by a customer of mine. This is an absolute gem of a piano, from the coveted "best era" of Yamaha pianos. It has been tuned regularly by my Dad, and then me after he retired. It has a full Dampp-chaser humidity control system (upgraded from the old one last year), and is in exellent condition.

Hello again Friends! Here is another wonderful piano up for sale. It is a 1987 Yamaha U1AR, upright piano. It is in exellent condition, lightly played (lived life in a string teachers studio), regularly tuned, and climate controlled. It includes a Dampp-Chaser dual humidity control sytem with dehumidifier and humidifier.
