🚨✈️ TRAVEL ALERT for anyone flying into or out of Newark Airport (EWR):

If you have flights booked through Newark — especially this summer — do yourself a favor and reach out to your airline ASAP. I had a trip planned for July to Barcelona 🇪🇸, and after hearing about all the delays and disruptions at EWR 😬, I contacted the flight department to see what my options were.

✅ They were able to change my flights AND switch my departure airport to JFK.
Yes, JFK is more of a hassle to get to 🚗💨 — but honestly, I’d rather deal with traffic getting to the airport than face days of delays and unexpected cancellations once I’m there. 🙅‍♀️🛫

Even though there was a change fee involved, it wasn’t the full amount — they offered some flexibility because of the issues at Newark. So it’s definitely worth calling or messaging your airline and explaining the situation. You might be surprised at the options they can offer.

💡 Pro Tip: Don’t assume you’re stuck with what you booked. If your travel goes through Newark, see if you can reroute through JFK or another airport nearby. A little planning now could save a LOT of stress later.
