First, we announced expanded hours on our fixed-route service — and now we have MORE exciting news!

🌙 RC FLEX IS GOING LATE!

Starting Monday, October 12, RC FLEX On-Demand service will operate:
🕔 5:00 AM – MIDNIGHT
📅 Monday – Friday

More flexibility to get where you need to go in the cities of Albion, Battle Creek, Marshall, and Springfield.

📱 Booking your RC FLEX trip is easy!
You can create an account and book through the TripSpark Rides on Demand app, or use the desktop booking option available through our website.

A New Way to Book Your RC FLEX Ride!

Starting Monday, October 12, 2026, RC FLEX is moving to a new booking platform! 🎉

We’re excited to introduce TripSpark Rides on Demand, a convenient new way to book your RC FLEX On-Demand trips.

📱 Book from your smartphone
Download the TripSpark Rides on Demand app and create your account right from your phone.

💻 Prefer your computer?
You can also create an account and book your rides using the desktop version of TripSpark through the RC FLEX page on our website.

With the new system, you can:
✅ Book your RC FLEX ride from your phone or computer
✅ Schedule a ride the same day or up to 14 days in advance
✅ Enter your pickup location and destination
✅ View available trip options and confirm your booking
✅ Review your ride information

All RC FLEX trips for travel on October 12, 2026 (and beyond) can now be booked through the new TripSpark system.

If you need a ride today through Friday, October 9, please continue to book through your BCGo app or by calling 269-966-3474, press 1 to schedule a ride.

🚍 SERVICE HOURS UPDATE — RC MAX & RC MOVE

Beginning Monday, October 12, we’re expanding our service hours! 🎉

RC MAX our fixed route service will now operate until 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Here’s what riders need to know about the final departures from downtown:

🕓 Hourly routes: Final run departs downtown at 4:15 p.m.

🕟 Half-hour routes: Final run departs downtown at 4:45 p.m. (except for the 3E Main/Post route which will depart at 4:15pm)

This change eliminates the need for the closer route that RC MAX has operated for the past several years.

♿ RC MOVE our ADA Paratransit service will also operate until 5:15 p.m. to align with the expanded RC MAX service hours.

We’re excited to continue expanding service and providing more transportation options for our community!

UPDATE 10/6/26 - Riverside is now open and we have resumed our regular 2W route! 🚍

🚌 2W – Columbia/Territorial Route Detour

Attention 2W riders: Our 2W–Columbia/Territorial route is currently operating on a detour due to milling and paving work taking place on Riverside Drive.

During the detour, the 2W route will travel inbound to the Transfer Center by turning left on Capital Avenue SW.

🚫 The following bus stops will be missed during the detour:

Columbia Avenue:
• Near Pizza Hut
• Near Happy House
• Near Finley’s

Riverside Drive:
• Near the golf course
• At Territorial Road
• At Burnham Street
• Near Dickman Road by BlueOx Credit Union

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this road work is completed.

We will provide an update as soon as the 2W route has returned to its regular route.

⚡🚐 A NEW WAY TO RIDE! 🚐⚡

We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for Ride Calhoun — the arrival of our first-ever electric vehicle! 🎉

Our brand-new, all-electric Ford E-Transit was generously donated by Consumers Energy, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome it to our fleet!

This zero-emission vehicle will help us expand our service capacity, support our daily operations, and reduce our environmental footprint, all while continuing to connect people throughout our community. It’s a great example of what’s possible when community partners come together with a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and investing in the people we serve.

A huge THANK YOU to the Consumers Energy team for their generosity and partnership.💙🧡 And thank you to everyone who joined us for our ribbon cutting and helped us celebrate this exciting moment!

Meet Kery, our First Shift Operations Supervisor.

Kery has been keeping Ride Calhoun moving for over 4 years, bringing a wealth of experience from her earlier days in public school transportation. She brings incredible passion and energy to the job every day.

📍 Where to find her? Helping riders and keeping things running smoothly at our downtown Battle Creek Transfer Center.
